The first thing we did was arrange our transport and accommodation - in the form of Ruby a 1970's VW Campervan.

Our adventure began at Poughills, near Bude, where our family ancestors hail from. It was the night of the Euro 2012 semi-finals so we enjoyed a few beers and an enormous 'meat feast' at a local pub. From there we headed to Tintagel, St Ives and then Lands End.

We headed home having marked a significant point in Daniel's journey from childhood to adulthood. Thank you Ruby.
